FORUM FOR DIALOGUE
AND DIPLOMACY

The Forum for Dialogue and Diplomacy (FDD) is an intellectual and educational
group which aims to enhance understanding and promote a stronger relationship
between Pakistan and the US through dialogue and diplomacy.

To help build stronger Pakistan-US relationship through community and civic engagement and positive dialogue.

OUR MISSION

The Forum for Dialogue and Diplomacy is an educational group. Its mission is to engage Pakistani-Americans and all other key stakeholders through a series of dialogues, discussions, meetings and lectures. These will focus on the geostrategic, geopolitical, geoeconomics, geosocial and geodevelopment needs of both Pakistan and the United States of America (US) with the goal of promoting socio-economic development, peace and prosperity in the region and enhancing US-Pakistan relations.

OUR GOALS

The Forum for Dialogue and Diplomacy intends to achieve the following goals, among others

Organize Lectures

To organize a lecture series and deliberate on geostrategic, geopolitical, geoeconomics, geosocial and geodevelopment needs of Pakistan and the US with various stake holders and policy makers.

Involve Community

To involve the Pakistani-American community and other stake holders in a dialogue with US policy makers and the community with the intent of building stronger US-Pakistan relationship.

Project Viewpoints

To project the viewpoint of the million-plus strong expatriate Pakistanis living in the US on US-Pakistan relations.

Build Stronger US-Pakistan Understanding

To build stronger US-Pakistan understanding through a series of dialogue, lectures and discussions on social and business issues so that both countries may have a more meaningful strategic bond and enhanced relationship in the future.

There is no membership and no attendance fee. Attendance is open but by invitation only and limited

Future Growth

The Forum may expand its operation to include adjoining regions of interest, including Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Central Asia, Middle East and South Asia to encourage cultural and interfaith dialogue and promote regional development.

The Forum may also establish a Center in any other city of the US.

ORGANIZATION

The Forum for Dialogue and Diplomacy includes the Board, an Executive Board (EB), and an Advisory Board.

Location

The Forum is based in Greater Houston, TX, which is home to the largest Pakistani expatriate community in the US. Over 150,000 Pakistani-Americans live and work in the Greater Houston area, which includes senior academics, businessmen, doctors, engineers, professionals, and many others.
